Synopsis: Once destined to become an elite cardiovascular surgeon, Kiyotaka Higuchi’s promising career takes an unexpected turn when he is assigned to a remote rural town in Kyushu just before earning his specialty qualification. Now working in internal medicine, he struggles with unfamiliar dialects, elderly patients, and the bitter feeling that his career has been derailed. His lonely evenings soon become filled with alcohol and regret—until one disastrous night, a mysterious yakuza named Tenju comes to his rescue.
