Synopsis: Five centuries before the events of Saiyuki, a golden-eyed heretic child is brought to Heaven—an existence that views him as an omen rather than a blessing. Placed under the reluctant guardianship of the minor deity Konzen, nephew of the merciful Kanzeon Bosatsu, the boy is given a name: Goku. As Goku forms deep bonds with Konzen and the loyal gods Tenpou and Kenren, he begins to find warmth in a realm that fears his very presence.
